Haha just for fun... though the color was a lot of blind guesswork : [ the red shadows in her face are a bit too saturated though and it doesn't really make sense, my bad

Also, the Internet on my laptop went haywire all of a sudden yesterday, and I still haven't got it to work...

Painting of the day!

I'm quite happy with this one, I hope that I managed to capture the general feel and palette of things, though I accidentally broke the tangent rule or whatever and it looks like the umbrella is growing out of the guy's head, haha.

I'm really itching to go to the beach these days, it's so nice out!

Whoops I screwed up on the perspective with this because I wasn't really paying attention to the horizon in the beginning... oh well

I think environments, besides being in natural light and least complicated with least interfering sources/color temperature and such will probably be a good place for me to start off color studies, plus I sort of, well kinda get to work on perspective as well...

Hmm, yeah, so I haven't been able to work on drawing much lately but I really need to work on some color crunching, I think it is my weakest point... I don't think I'd feel comfortable coloring something without a reference at this point because I'm rather struggling with color in relation to light/shadow, especially with shadow influence from reflected colors AJKDKDLJKDIESDKC

I'm going to conquer this pesky thing!

Color makes me all confused

These were part of a seven sins YEAH I KNOW CLICHE RIGHT series assignment where I chose forks as my theme, Minolta X-300, all B&W film 400 ASA, 8” x 10” prints on pearl paper, I was proud of these because I've never done manual photography/developing before! : )

started listening to funk again, it's a nice contrast to this dismal weather

Yesterday going home it struck me again how incredibly fucking grateful and lucky I am for having the people I call my friends. Again and again and again and again and again -- I can't imagine what a pathetic mess I would be without them.

I drew these in Summer '06 -- they're of some people I met in an ECIAD art program... Looking back, I don't think I've drastically improved since last year unlike the other years where I really could tell a difference... ahhh well damn studies, I don't have as much time to draw as I used to...
